you need to fix permissions on the "smb://PAYNESTATION/Movies/" to allow XBMC to save stuff in it

Ah thanks allot. i did some changes on my server and now it works again. it seemed i needed write for this. could u explain why i need my server to be able to use the subtitle addon. i thought i only needed my server for playing the movies on my xbmc player. what has the subtitle addon to do with getting into my server?

External subtitles are usually stored alongside the movie files, so different movie players knows where to look for them.
So the default behavior for the subtitle addon is also to store it in the same folder as the movie file. Therefore it needs to write on your server share.
In Gotham you can set a different folder to save your subtitles, I don't know whether thats possible in Frodo.

You are certainly not the only one! Problem is also mentioned in another thread:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=188250

And also in the comments on the blog post about the beta 1 release. I also have the same problem. I have the Android version. Could that also be a problem with the write permissions? Or what is the problem with the subtitles in Gotham?

I can't upload the log file. I tried several times. I get an error while uploading the file. Can I send it to you by pm or mail?

EDIT:
I saw that I can manually paste the log file into the xbmc-log site,
Here it is ( I hope it went well):

I do not see any errors when you are downloading, it could be that opensubtitles is down at the time.try using other service when it happens.

Thanks for looking at it. I tried other services for days, since beta 1 was released. And as you can see, a lot of people have the same problem. Subtitles are downloaded. From the service. They are in the temp-folder. But they don't show up in the movie. It happens with all the services. No subtitles at all.

In the other thread I referred to in my earlier post, there are more. And also in the comments on the blog post on the xbmc home page there are people with the same problem. And in the 'how to' post als well. Maybe more people can drop their logs. I appreciate your help very much. I hope this can be solved. Thanks again.
