Is there not a way to schedule remotely tv shows for recording? I am using XBMC with MCE.

You would need a web frontend to wmc for that.
mythtv has one, called mythweb.
I don't think there is a web frontend to xbmc pvr as such, as most backends have a web interface already.

Mce has addons for that. Media browser 3 is one good one.

+1 for MediaBrowser3. The web UI is excellent. Not to mention all of the other useful features that I adds on top of XBMC.
