yes Fusion works ! have added 1channel icefilms from fusion for the moment but wanted mashup, simply movies...etc which are not there on fusion but available on super repo which is not working for me.

I see there is an android app called AirReceiver that someone on XDA forums says works. But I can't figure out how the heck to get an APK for it to try to sideload it. I'm perfectly willing to buy it and figure out how to get the APK itself, but Google Play won't let me buy it because I don't have any registered Android devices. >.>

TL;DR, what's the smart way to get APKs?

I've been talking to the dev of airtight. It's an airplay receiver app for amazon fire tv. He said it's being worked on and out as an official app in a few weeks. Hopefully. If not maybe someone else can get airplay working. I'll be selling my Apple TV when this comes out. Love xbmc with ouya build. Does all I need minus airplay.
Does anyone know if you deregister the box if it wipes Xbmc off? I did mine gave it to someone and he is hoping Xbmc on it.

Go to there forums to talk about those problems. That talk isn't welcome here..

I changed the Amazon accounts the other day and it kept XBMC and all the apps I installed.
Update on my 12.3.3_2 playback issues of Monsters test file:

I uploaded a log file of my playback here: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=171089 where line 846 reports an error loading StageFright:

16:58:39 T:1665968832 ERROR: CDVDVideoCodecStageFright:: - failed to open, codec(28), profile(100), level(41)

My FireTV is at version 51.1.0.1_user_510055620

Any ideas on issue?

(2014-04-08, 19:39)awp0 Wrote: Yeah, I noticed that earlier. I'm interested in the actual power consumption in various scenarios (streaming, idle, standby). I have a couple of Raspi's which use so little electricity that I just leave them on 24/7 even when I don't use them sometimes for a week or two. They use like 3 watts idle. I also used to have a Boxee Box which never had a proper standby and always used like 16 watts. That bugged me.

I know it's not as low as it could be, but 16 watt power consumption for 24 hours is only .384 kWh. Where I live, that's 4.6 cents per day. In comparison, that's less than leaving my bedroom lights on for 3 hours.

Yeah, I know it's not that bad price-wise. It's just an interest of mine I guess. I think the ATV3 was measured at something crazy like 1.5w in operation. I'm wondering where the Fire TV lands. Obviously it's less than 16w.

Just got mine today and checked power consumption of the Firetv. and during boot it consumes about 4 watts and peaked at 6 for a couple of seconds after that idled at 2.5 watts. tried playing a movie on xbmc koying's most current build and its about the same as idle. varies from 3.7 - 4 watts. this was measured with a p3 kill-a-watt.

I gotta say I am excited on the progress on this considering its only been a week.

Thanks heaps for taking the time to do those tests! Awesome power usage Big Grin

Yes, thanks so much! That's lower than I expected. Excellent.

Same version as me. I also have 3.76GB free (perhaps if you are too low, it won't cache?). Re-tested SPMC 12.3.3 linked on page 1 of this thread (md5: 6d30c16903136ed35464e7b03f1d510f) and video playback was good. I just can't get it to be jittery by changing any of the audio or video options, aside from hardware acceleration. Have you tried XBMC For Ouya 12.3.2?

I am uninstalling previous installations before ADB of the new one.

Log of 12.3.3_2: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=171145

12.3.3_2: Video and 2.0 audio played well. No surround options to test.
12.3.3_3: Choppy video and 2.0 audio played until it became choppy as well then the playback halted.

Half-good news, because I really have no idea why, right now...

[EDIT]
@DiegoMejia, could you also confirm, please.

xbmc-20140408-492e29a-master-armeabi-v7a.apk
sample: h264_1080p_hp_4.1_10mbps_dts_unstyled_subs_monsters
was a bit choppy on video and on audio and obviously played audio as stereo since there are no dts, ac3, etc.. passthrough options

spmc-armeabi-v7a_12.3.3_3.apk
sample: h264_1080p_hp_4.1_10mbps_dts_unstyled_subs_monsters
Very blocking video, completely unwatchable

My Setup:
Files are on a Synology 1812+ with gigabit network ports, switches are gigabit ports and the fire tv nic is fast ethernet (10/100) everything is hardwired
I am new to XBMC. The spmc-armeabi-v7a_12.3.3.apk is installed and have the ability to navigate throughout XBMC. I am trying to figure out how to get XBMC to locate my Windows 7 directory so I can add TV shows and movies to the library. Any help is appreciated.
Add videos then browse then windows share

I am not seeing my C: and E: drives on the XBMC on the Fire TV for access to the video files. XBMC installed on the PC gives me access to these drives as the Fire TV does not.

The easiest way to get it up, in my opinion: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...using_UPnP

This requires XBMC to be open on your PC, though. I am considering switching over to using PleXBMC.
