Pulse Eight Micro Keyboard doesn't work

I run OpenElec and enabled bluetooth and plugged in my dongle and pressed the pair key on my keyboard and XBMC appear to recognize it and asked me for some code. I tried entering it on the keyboard but it didn't work. I just it OK on my other remote and then it showed the keyboard paired. None of the keys on the keyboard do anything at all in XBMC. And they market it for "perfect for XBMC" and compatible with Windows and Linux. Why would my system recognize it but none of the keys do anything in XBMC?
