Fedora RPM Build? Help.
#1
Hi,

Thanks very much to the amazing folk who made this patch. Would there be a problem in adding the Retroplayer patches to the list of ones applied here?

Fedora seems to patch XBMC, might there be clashes with retroplayer? Any advice?

This is the spec file ...

There will most definitely be clashes with the retroplayer based on alpha 12. In the near future (I committed to this week, we'll see if I can hold this promise Wink ) I'll rebase on Gotham Final. There will be much less conflicts, if any, after the rebase.

On linux, I'm having trouble with 32bit vs 64bit emulators. If you're familiar with xbmc's buildsystem, you could help fix this. Otherwise 32-bit fedora will ship with the repo for 64-bit emulators.

Not all all familiar with build systems, sorry duck. I can do C++, but I always saw build systems as something that code in the way of code Big Grin

Once you've finished that rebase, could I in theory get RetroPlayer as a patch to add to the list of patches the Fedora RPM maintainer already applies? I imagine that being easier than putting your branch into the RPM build and applying those other patches to that?

Is this more feasible now?

Yup, you can build from branch retroplayer-13 or retroplayer-13.1. I just compiled an OpenELEC 4.0 build using the 13.1 branch, and most conflicts disappeared.
