I thought you said you had already done that, which is why I recommended the image method, but regardless glad you got it installed

the first time you ran OE, didn't it ask you to set up networking? If wireless networking is enabled, then the connections screen should show all available APs. If your IP is showing up under system info, what's the problem? The icon on the bottom right of the home screen is the RSS feed icon.
