I have followed your instructions and successfully installed the dual boot option. Now I just want to have the standalone option. What process do I need to follow to start over and install the standalone option? Please advise.
just follow the standalone setup instructions. If you're running OE, you can back up your config using the OE backup function (Settings/OpenELEC/General), copy the backup file to another PC, and restore after completing the standalone setup,
This post was exaclty what I needed to know since I also want to switch from dualboot to standalone with OpenELEC. I just have one more question:
I've updated the coreboot Firmware last week 01.01.2015, but now I realised I shouldn't since I'm still on dualboot (correct me if I'm wrong).
Everything is working fine, but since I've updated the firmware before switching to standalone version, is there any issue if I run the script now to switch to standalone?
One more question, is there any major disadvantage of standalone vs dualboot?
Thank you.
