Hei guys,

Zotac finally did it: Zotac awesome little fanless box.

Looks like it's about:

CI320 nano : Celeron N2930 : 189,90 euros/$ with taxes
CA320 nano : AMD A6-1450 : 129,90 euros/$ with taxes

Wifi ac, Gigabit ethernet, up to 8Gb DDR3 and supports 2.5-inch SATA 6.0 Gb/s HDD/SSD. Hell, it even includes an IR receiver.

It's the nano brand of zotac so it should be about as small as a regular NUC, maybe even a tad smaller.

Do you think HDMI CEC is supported by Zotac box ?

This is really a PERFECT Htpc.. (by my standards)..

Small, Fanless, Good looking, has IR, a 2.5 Hard drive can be installed, Gigabit Ethernet, Usb3, Front SD Card adapter..

Really can anyone ask for more?

My Congrats on Zotac... Smile (really impressed - on first reading - waiting for an actual review to see its CPU temps)

Yes indeed, I'll order one as soon as possible but I'm not sure which one to take between the i3 and i5, they have pretty similar perfs.

Save the money and take i3 Smile

I agree very nice spec'd HTPC boxes, will compete very well against NUC and DIY.

For me, i3 NUC looks better, price is +- the same. For ppl that need all those extra ports or worry about probably not audible anyway NUC fan - ZOTAC might be an interesting alternative.

While it would be lovelyto get HDMI CEC, I have yet to read something regarding this functionality in those boxes.
Zotac hasn't included in any of their boxes so far.

I read a rep from Zotac said they that were looking to provide the best possible HTPC experience with those so it's definitely a wait and see.

While I appreciate that the NUC is an awesome product, I still have concerns about the fan spinning 24/7 as a server or a HTPC therefore, my preference goes to Zotac, even though Intel design's way cleaner.

i ve send an email to zotac about it...
They told me 1 - 2 months..

A good thing is that amazon is also supplies zotac products, so i presume we will see them there as soon as they become available... Smile

(btw... I will buy Zotac... (unless i see a negative review regarding cpu temperatures Smile )...

I'm a happy owner of an AD10, and the new Nanos look pretty nice as well... I just hope Zotac will update its AMD boxes with the new Kaveri/Kabini parts.

So these look very interestig for upgrading my old HTPC running Win 7. The big question is which of the below low-cost alternatives would be best in terms of 1080p/4K playback.

CI320 (Celeron N2930)
CA320 (AMD A6-1450)

Currently I've got an old Intel Core2 Duo E7200 CPU and a Radeon HD 6450 card. CPU performance wise both alternatives seem to be on par, but I'm thinking the AMD one would be better in terms of accelerated video playback. With my current setup I can playback 1080p mkv's & 4K video recorded on my Note 3 fine (albeit displayed on a 1024x786 TV) from withing XBMC. I'm hoping to be able to do the same with one of the above alternatives.
Does anyone know which one of these should be able to best deal with this task?
