xbmc not starting with no screen connected
#1
Hi

I am running XBMCbuntu on a HP-G7 (x86_64) Homeserver and when there is no screen connected on startup i have to reboot the device to get XBMC running.
I found a way to restart XBMC via SSH (service lightdm restart) but thats really unpractical.

It's not about xbmc, it's about your xserver.

No xserver - no xbmc.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

There exist workarounds with drm-kms-helper (google that), but that will only work when you don't want hdmi audio.

Are you shure? There seems to be a XServer Process and a XBMC process...
