Hi guys.
i have a geforce 580gtx in my htpc but this card doesnt support HD bitstreaming for some stupid reason (even though the low end of that generation do!?!?) it does support pcm 7.1 uncompressed though.
i have an onkyo 707 amp which can handle all hd.
so, the problem i have is that i want to send HD audio as PCM but the rest as bitstream so my amp can matrix up to 7.1, if i send as pcm the amp cant seem to matrix up the missing channels.
any ideas on how to do this? VLan outputs as PCM 96khz yet xbmc without passthrough only does 48khz PCM. i was sure i had this working ok in the previous version?
i would turn off passthrough but that messes up stereo video such as my son's recorded TV.
