Hi,

Is there any way to start up an add on by mapping it to a button on my remote control?

The kids like to use iPlayer but as the eldest is only 5 it's difficult for him to remember to go to the main menu, hit down on videos then select add ons etc.

It should be possible, but the exact path you take is going to depend a bit on your remote. You can either map a remote key directly to an action or map a key press (like F1 or something like that) to an action and then get your remote to send that key press. Once that part is figured out, you would use RunAddon to activate iPlayer. Something like RunAddon(plugin.video.iplayer). You'd need to find the actual ID for iplayer.
