Error "playback failed" for some videos
#1
Some videos I try to play gives me the error "playback failed". I suppose it's some kind of decoder issue, but don't really know. I recently installed Openelec (Gorham), but had the same issue on XBMCubuntu (Frodo). Otherwise it's mostly working great! Smile

I think the problem might be related to the XBMCtorrent addon which I am using. I found several people mentioning the same problem in this post: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1726074

No solution though.. Any ideas?

All your errors relate to timeouts. That means XBMC isn't getting the data it requires quickly enough. This could be for a variety of reasons including not enough seeds, network issues, ISP throttling etc etc. These are the pitfalls of using such addons, and it's unlikely there is anything you can do to 'fix' it as the issue is most likely at the WAN side of your router.

Either find a way to watch local or networked content that doesn't suffer from these issues, or just live with it !!
