Release YouTube (IMPORTANT - READ FIRST POST)
(2016-02-24, 15:49)Kolifanes Wrote: Based on the work of finalmakerr and parcel alias rasberryrabbit. This is the final fix for YouTube plugin. Now everything is working.
I have generated new API for every section, expect youtube-tv. In this case, we use the API of YouTube TV.

You can download from here
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_QaKV3...sp=sharing

I maintained the original dev name. If the Kodi Team want, i can give the email with password where i have generated the new API.

Thanks anyone for their contribution. I hope this can help anyone that want back YouTube and isn't able to fix.

Remember

Delete the folder on your userdata plugin.video.youtube. You can found the location here http://kodi.wiki/view/Userdata

Fantastic. Thanks a lot! Everything works fine now.
A quick question. Does 5.1.19 incorporate "random pooling" of the API ?

Worked for me too on FireTV Smile
Little question:
Which version supports 1080p?
I'm curious if anyone has thoughts on what's happening to me. I've been experiencing the same problems described in this thread recently. Can't view subscriptions, api limit exceeded, ect.

I've been trying to get this fixed but I'm stuck. I tried to sign out and uninstall, but I can't seem to sign out at all. I can delete the addon, install it again, or use the zip provided in the thread, but it always considers me signed in when I open it up again. I'm not sure how to force remove my credentials.

Whenever I hit "sign out" I get an error message and this shows up in the log:

None. Look up Kodi and DASH support because it apparently requires that

Have you tried uninstalling then deleting the userdata directory for the addon? http://kodi.wiki/view/Userdata Delete the folder plugin.video.youtube
For anyone who is getting the Login Failed! error when trying to log out.

Keep in mind that if you currently use user profiles then you must delete BOTH

plugin.video.youtube from

/userdata/profiles/YOURPROFILE/addon_data

and

userdata/addon_data
If I fixed the YouTube app with my own API keys, how do i get other addons that rely on it to work with it again? Any help is appreciated
I followed instructions and mine is all fixed!!!

Thanks for fixing this.. Keep up the great work!!
Yes, I did get the addon working fine. Not sure exactly which step I had skipped over on the first attempt.

The only glitch is that every now and then I get a message that says "bad request" however, subsequent attempts work fine. Others with this "bad request" issue? Any suggested workarounds?
(2016-02-24, 14:35)ashlar Wrote: Hmmm... tried starting from scratch. Success.

Basically, I installed parcel's version (5.1.18c), substituted my credentials for relevant Kodi version *and* for youtube-for-kodi-quota. Now all works fine.

What I don't understand is why placing my credentials in the youtube-tv entry makes My Subscriptions stop working.

This is what parcel has from line 16 to line 21 in login_client.py:
Code:
'youtube-tv': {
    'system': 'All',
    'key': 'AIzaSyAd-YEOqZz9nXVzGtn3KWzYLbLaajhqIDA',
    'id': '861556708454-d6dlm3lh05idd8npek18k6be8ba3oc68.apps.googleusercontent.com',
    'secret': 'SboVhoG9s0rNafixCSGGKXAT'
},

If I put key, id, and secret as per my credentials (which I do for youtube-for-kodi-quota and youtube-for-kodi-16), My Subscriptions doesn't work anymore. Parcel, what's the option to select in Google's API manager page to have them working. I don't want to depend on a generic set of keys anymore.

Thank you. Smile

Enable Youtube API on this link.
Code:

That did it, thanks!
Good news, Is changing "youtube tv" API key solution for "live" folder problem?

p.s.
Live folder works fine after changing API keys in *-quota and *-fallback section. They are also old API keys.

Thank you for hint Smile
