You're trying to open the video in 360p (ITAG 18) and ffmpeg somehow doesn't like the format (?). Just wan't to know if another format works for you.
Hello Bromix,
I tried with different resolutions today 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p but faced same issue, none worked.
Could this ffmpeg issue be related to Raspbmc distro I am using?
Can you let me know on which distro you tried and it worked?
Thank you for quick response.
Regards
I test all my addons on Windows 7 (64 Bit), Ubuntu and Android 4.4.2.
This seems to be a problem of ffmpeg or curl. What I've found so far is, that in some versions the dev. missed to include the support for zlib in ffmpeg. Do you have the newest version of raspbmc? Can you try to contact someone of the devs. of the raspbmc?
Thank you for information
I tried with different distros OpenELEC, XBian , OSMC but same problem ffmpeg failed to read header.
Also tried by directly installing KODI on my Mac OS X 10.9 even there same problem.
How can we make this work any ideas??
Update:
This issue seems to be related low internet speed.
I did some tweaking in "advancedsettings.xml" and it started working for vidoes having playback greater than 1hr but less than 2hrs.
Below settings helped me, though it did not completely solve the issue.
<advancedsettings>
<network>
<buffermode>0</buffermode>
<cachemembuffersize>0</cachemembuffersize>
<readbufferfactor>20</readbufferfactor
<curlclienttimeout>500</curlclienttimeout>
<curllowspeedtime>1</curllowspeedtime>
</network>
</advancedsettings>
One more observation is, with this settings if video quality is set to 240p then all videos play without any issues.
I still feel this should be fixed in kodi source code. First frame for long videos seems to be corrupted.
