This is happening for large videos may be having playback more than 1 Hr
Thank you

Can you try a higher resolution (addon-settings->video quality). You're trying to open the video in 360p (ITAG 18) and ffmpeg somehow doesn't like the format (?). Just wan't to know if another format works for you.

Hello Bromix,
I tried with different resolutions today 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p but faced same issue, none worked.

Could this ffmpeg issue be related to Raspbmc distro I am using?
Can you let me know on which distro you tried and it worked?

Thank you for quick response.

I have raised the issue with https live video streaming. After doing research i reinstalled latest version of kodi on firetv to resolve the issue.
Here is the version i used for Amazon Fire TV : http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/android...bi-v7a.apk

Hope this helps for others.

Thanks....

I test all my addons on Windows 7 (64 Bit), Ubuntu and Android 4.4.2.
This seems to be a problem of ffmpeg or curl. What I've found so far is, that in some versions the dev. missed to include the support for zlib in ffmpeg. Do you have the newest version of raspbmc? Can you try to contact someone of the devs. of the raspbmc?
@ Bromix

Using your add-ons to play a playlist option with default setting and the add-ons start with 2nd video clip instead of 1st clip. Running on XBMC Gotham. TIA

Can you send me please the complete URL you used for that.
Hi there!
I use the hell out of your add-on, thanks a bunch for it!!!!

Is there anyway you could add a "refresh" feature in your later updates? Or maybe even an "auto refresh" option?
I stay a lot in the "My Subscriptions" screen and I need to constantly exit and enter again to get the list refreshed.
I would really appreciate if this was possible!

With or without this feature, awesome add-on!
Very thankful =)

Nothing I can do about at the moment. Google seems to have some trouble with it, because the VideoInfo API returns 'Backend Errors'. I think we have to wait Sad but I like your idea with the '$-Sign' Wink

Okay...I don't even start the player...I just add the videos to the current playlist...XBMC/KODI is running the show after that Sad is this a bug? Because the order is correct.

tested with:
Code:
plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?playlist_id=PL57hJfweW_2sv1WtKWyFiua5r0QivDTZl

This behaviour of not playing 1st video from the playlist was in Frodo too. I am not sure it is bug or not. if you call the xbmc player it always skip first video. It does not happen when the playlist is small like 4 or 5 items. I just accept it as is.

I try to fix the issue this week (I hope). It's some kind of unicode trouble with os.path.join of python I'm not handling correct Smile

No panic. I survive with 13.2, but it would be nice to upgrade. Thank you bromix!

Same here, but there is one difference:
Error Contents: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 8: ordinal not in range(128)

Thanks for your work, the addon is running now Big Grin

Thank you for information
I tried with different distros OpenELEC, XBian , OSMC but same problem ffmpeg failed to read header.
Also tried by directly installing KODI on my Mac OS X 10.9 even there same problem.

How can we make this work any ideas??

Update:
This issue seems to be related low internet speed.
I did some tweaking in "advancedsettings.xml" and it started working for vidoes having playback greater than 1hr but less than 2hrs.
Below settings helped me, though it did not completely solve the issue.

<advancedsettings>
<network>
<buffermode>0</buffermode>
<cachemembuffersize>0</cachemembuffersize>
<readbufferfactor>20</readbufferfactor
<curlclienttimeout>500</curlclienttimeout>
<curllowspeedtime>1</curllowspeedtime>
</network>
</advancedsettings>

One more observation is, with this settings if video quality is set to 240p then all videos play without any issues.
I still feel this should be fixed in kodi source code. First frame for long videos seems to be corrupted.
