Hi, just this morning I've been been unable to play videos from my subs, was working fine yesterday, and I've rebooted to make sure.

http://www.xbmclogs.com/pkxzcjxku#

edit: I can play older videos from my watch later, just not anything new afaik
Just tried again and I can play videos as usual, not sure what happened but not having any issues now.
Hey Bromix, love your plugin, it's the one i use most! I was wondering and i'm just being nosey here, why does it require two authorization keys to activate your account? It's always something i've wondered but never found out why.

If this has been answered before i apologize. I spent about 10-20 mins looking around and couldn't find it, so i figured it would just be easier for me to ask.

Thank you for your awesome add-on and thank you for all the help you give!

Thanks Smile and sure I can answer that.

The first key is for YouTube TV for TVs. We need that key for one function only -> My Subscribtions (new uploaded videos by all your subscribed channels), because the official new APIv3 for developer doesn't know such a thing, but users demand it. So that's my solution.

The second key is for the official APIv3 so we can use all the other stuff.

If Google/YouTube hasn't don't such a bad job with the new API we would not need two logins.
Interesting, i always wondered why. Thanks for the info i really appreciate it!
Hi Bromix. I've been using your plugin for the past couple of months without trouble, but today when I tried to launch the add-on, it fails and gives me an error message. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it didn't help. I'm running Kodibuntu and here is the relevant failure text from the log:

Please delete the "cache.sqlite" file under the addons user folder. Somehow this file got corrupted.
Hello guys, I'm new in Kodi and its specification, I cannot understand is it able to use this plugin to display channels from youtube as standalone menus in videos?
If yes, could you point me to manual or describe how I can configure my own list of channels to display?

Thanks for your work!
Hey bromix,

Sorry to bother you. Are there any known issues with live broadcasts in the youtube plugin? Went back a few pages and haven't read anything regarding this issue. Using 5.1.7 on osx at the moment, no live video will play.
I recall I use the plugin to play livestreams last week on linux so, unsure it is some problem with the addon, the api or with the addon on osx only.

I can send a debug log if you can't reproduce the issue.

Cheers

I know only of Android systems...they can't (most of the user) play any live streams. It seems to be a problem with the used format/container by YouTube. If you can provide a debug log (wiki) I can maybe tell - normally there should be an error of a demuxer.
Hum, just tried to play the livestream I grabbed from the log in vlc and it is playable so it's probably some issue of kodi on osx and not your plugin. I'll upgrade to isengard first to see if the issue remains. If that's the case, I'll provide a debug log.

Edit: isengard solves the issue. Sorry to waste your time. Appreciated your help though Smile
SUBTITLES...

Hi all,

First post Smile

Thanks for an AWESOME add-on.

I was reading and waiting for a fix and it looks like it may be a WIP.

My best work around was to download the subs ripper http://lmgtfy.com/?q=youtube+subtitle+ripper

Put it in a folder, watch the youtube video and then just manually add the subs..works great...

so now i can wait patiently till the developer creates the subtitles Smile

hope it helped somebody.

cheers

smeags.
