So far I would keep the main logo as simple as the current xbmc logo, and just play around a little with the fonts, maybe tweak them a little. So keep it REALLY simple.

The splash screens for the new releases, that's where we can get a bit nuts and creative ^^.

(Would like to give some examples, but all I got is my pad :/ )

Some (most) of them are overly complex and colorful, impractical, and/or just plain ugly. (I see it coming: "Hey, dude, come up with an idea of a logo before criticizing other people's work and ideas (or lack thereof)!")

One thing that has to be remembered about a logo - it needs to work on a wide variety of medium - including (but not limited to) screen, paper, clothing etc, some of these mediums may have limited colour range, or even restrictions to only a single colour.

There are some really nice things that might work well on screen due to multiple colours, but just wouldn't work at all in print or clothing etc.


This is why logo design is something that can be very expensive, and can take months to perfect.

I like the diamond O and as the diamond could become an iOS or Android app logo, or you could use 2 playback symbols back to back to form the diamond.

Just a remark...
The subtlitle should be something like: Entertainment Center or Entertainment Platform
as the 'Media center'-subtitle is one of the reasons why they changed the name.
