Linux Lost Settings application

For some reason I have no access to the settings. It was there a few days ago now it is gone. So I cant change skins ect. Any ideas?

Delete your guisettings.xml file inside your xbmc userdata folder.

Deleted file still don't have access to settings. Any other ideas I'm using linux

In the skin file Includes_home_common.xml, search for and delete the line " <visible>!Skin.HasSetting(QuitMenu_Show_Settings)</visible>' around line 459.

I'm having the same issue but have no clue how to delete the named file....help!
