Hi,

I'm please to present the first alpha for Welo HD (aka Welo v2).





Please note that as an alpha, there's going to be some missing/incomplete areas, like dialog screens.


New features include...

• 1080 resolution code and textures (no upscaled textures... all lovingly recreated in 1080 HD).
  
• Texture redesigns and improvements.
  
• Redesigned Recent/Random Items.
  
• Redesigned Dialog screens.
  
• Redesigned Settings.
  
• 1001 other improvements and tweaks!
  

Still on the 'To Do' list...

• Missing/incomplete Dialogs.
  
• Viewtype improvements.
  
• Extra Viewtypes (including Movie Wall and TV Banner).
  
• OSD redesign.
  
• Weather redesign.
  
• Custom menu items.
  
• Global search.
  
• 1001 other things I can't think of!
  

Some tips on skin navigation...

• On Home screen, press down on Movies, TV Shows, and Music to access Recent/Random Items.
  
• A dot next to a main menu item indicates sub-menu is available (note... dot can be hidden in skin settings).
  
• On main menu items, press up twice (if sub-menu exists) or once (no sub-menu) to access Charms Bar.
  
• Charms Bar includes shortcuts to Shutdown menu, Favourites, Search, and Settings.
  
• On Settings main menu, three dots indicates additional main menu items available.
  

There's still plenty to finish, and due to lack of free time it may take a while, but I'm slowly getting there.

As mentioned, there's going to be missing/incomplete areas, plus a few bugs. Please report on bugs (misaligned text, bad textures, etc) but I wouldn't worry about reporting the missing stuff. We'll wait till the complete beta releases for that!

Download from here... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5689...elo.hd.zip ... and install via the 'Install from zip file' option in Settings - Addons.

Please note that there's no skin repository. Will most likely stick with zipped releases for the alpha's, then hop onto the official WIP skin repository for the beta's.

No repo yet. Will most likely stick with zipped releases for the alphas, then hop onto the official wip skin forum for the beta.

Also any active menu you are in, disappears from the top Menu.. Check the 2nd screen..

Cheers for the feedback.

- Bug1... got that one already!
- Bug2... as mentioned on first post, osd due to be redesigned, so never bothered to fix that one.
- Bug3... Same as bug2!
- Bug4... By design (same for all areas). Didn't see the point of having a menu shortcut for the area you're already in. Thinking was you're hardly likely to go up and choose it, seeing as you're already there!
