In neither case do you have debugging turned on, look at line 62 in each log.

You play some 29.97 fps material on 60Hz and sync playback to display. What do you expect? Why don't you enable "adjust refresh rate to match video"?

Adjust refreshrate triggers the sdl bug in 13.2 On res change sdl sends quit and there wie freeze. So helix is needed to make it work reliable... or building your Gotham Branch.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Thanks for replying.
I changed the setting you suggested, but the movies still stutter.
Any other thoughts?

Post /usr/lib/xbmc/xbmc-xrandr please. Also a minimal but complete log with that sample would be fine.

Sorry, fritsch, did not see your reply until after I posted.
I do not understand what you mean by "So helix is needed to make it work reliable... or building your Gotham Branch."
How do I go about this?

Post the xrandr thingy first. You can trust fernet, he writes that code.

As fritsch suggested please try Helix version. What window manager do you use, if any?
