So finally getting back to this.

Did the Boot Media part and now on to selecting "Device Tree" (https://wiki.coreelec.org/coreelec:dtb)
I have 2 choices for Odroid-N2+: g12b_s922x_odroid_n2 and g12b_s922x_odroid_n2l (not sure if that is a "1" or a lower case "L"). Which should I choose? Can I damage anything if I pick the wrong one?

No, you cannot damage anything; if you use a wrong "Device Tree" it will just not work - no harm done. And if you have an N2+ then choose N2 since that includes both versions (for N & N2)

Besides that when you have an N2+ then you choose an appropriate image, and within that image (for example: "CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-20.2-Nexus-Odroid_N2.img.gz" (fits both N2  & N2+), unpack this file and burn resulting image to uSD card) there is already included a proper "dtb.img", so no need to look for "a proper device tree".
Btw, all questions regarding Odroid N2+ & CoreElec should be asked on CoreElec forum!

You want to use the N2 image, not N2L.  The N2L is a variant that has a smaller form factor and omits networking features - I expect that you didn't buy that variant.
