Send Youtube link from iOS device?

I would love this too, the only way this can be made possible is through a jailbreak tweak that hooks into the YouTube app.
So coders: get tweaking ;-)

This is a Kodi forum isn't it. You'd be better off asking an iOS cydia developer to take a look at it.

This is very disappointing, the app also crash for me right away both on iPad Air 2 on 8.3 and iPhone 6 plus on 8.1.2

Okay I found a workaround: if it crashes, put the device in airplane mode and it won't crash, then you'll be able to set it up manually.

It works with the share function in safari, but not in the youtube app, which is kind of annoying...

Google needs to fix this already, it's been far too long.
Well... having said that... Sending YouTube links to the Apple TV might indeed still work...

I can say for sure that I went to my sister's the other day. She had an new LG TV with webOS. Youtube app on my iPhone 4s with iOS 7.1.2 could hook natively and I could send videos. Isn't this service something that could implemented on openelec/kodi?

The Play on Kodi iOS app mentioned above now works pretty good, if you don't mind paying a buck. It adds Kodi as a share-sheet option.

I would definitely drop a quid on that but not actually working with YouTube app? But of a dealbreaker for me. I think YouTube in a browser is a lug and a chore.

The YouTube app doesn't seem to support the standard iOS share sheet.
