On the other hand seems none of the centos users have a "oss community spirit" and dont make the how-to available here or in xbmc wiki (and fyi, no out-of-date un-updateable PDF is not in the community spirit of OSS). Its left up to guessing. Though usually the answer is install the dammed dependencies already.

Again dependencies missing. You went and ignored my post just above yours. Hint read the official docs I linked, taglib compile scripts (a makefile in this case) are provided to build and compile taglib from within xbmc. e.g.

Try
git clean -xfd
and then proceed compiling from scratch.
