Eurosport Player
edit: ok fixed the problem by a single reboot Smile

I'm new to the player and sadly did not get it to work. It installed without problems and I entered my eurosportplayer credentials. I see the live and scheduled streams listed, as well as videos, but anything i click won't open and play. I've found some ERRORs in the log: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/kSxg28pPtQ/ (I'm running the latest stable Libreelec version with Kodi).

Does anyone else apart from myself experience the problem that the addon forgets the login credentials after some time?

Credentials are not being stored. Its just that the token cant be renewed for whatever reason (eg too many devices). I really have it barely.

Hi jinjin!
There seems to be some problem with the dazn addon. Streams are buffering the whole time. Debug log: https://paste.kodi.tv/xigahuguki

Best regards.

Your speed is too slow. Try a different cdn via addon settings.

I have problems storing my email and password. Everytime I get the message "Please sign in using your account details. ...". In the (debug) log I can find the message:

DEBUG: [plugin.video.eurosportplayer] idp.error.identity.bad-credentials

But I am 100% sure that I can logon with the same credentials when I hit the Eurosportplayer.com site.

I installed the addon in 17.6 and it worked once. After that I never got it working again. I upgraded to 18.0 and reinstalled the addon, configured it, no luck. Removed it (with all the data) and even deleted the .zip file, reinstalled the addon, etc. No luck.

Anyone has an idea?

Found the answer myself. In the logfile I could read my correct password, so I knew I used the correct password. But nevertheless I "typed" my password on the on-screen keyboard in stead of my physical keyboard and then it worked.

Does anyone know if this add-on displays content in 1080P? Or is it limited to 720p?

I think the addon could show 1080p, if Eurosport would deliver it. By they send out only 720p.

I just reinstalled the latest Kodi stable release and the first plugin I installed was Eurosport. I get an error when I try to run it. Log here:

Hmm?

The plugin still works though. I have v2.2.1 installd from repo. In the change log there's "esp api update". I guess that means the recent API change and a new harder DRM.

Typo: *installed from the official repo

And while I don't know when it was last updated, I think it is more likely that the plugin is still using the old API... If that's the case we will see how long that works because the mobile apps and the website has been revamped and at least the new website uses the new DRM (Apple Fairplay/Clearkey if I figured it out correctly).

Hi,
yes, the addon will break once they shut down the old api. It will definitely require a complete rewrite.
If anyone is interested in, feel free to do so. Im not maintaining my addons anymore, sorry.

Sad to hear that. I've been using your add ons for a good while now. Dunno what the alternative is now.
Thanks for all the work and effort in making and maintaining these add ons.
