Frodo to Kodi Upgrade
#1
Hello

I had installed Openelec 3.2 (FRODO) on dual booot machine with Windows 7.

To upgrade to KODI ( Openelec 4.2.0), I have downloaded the files and copied to SYSTEM.* and KERNEL.* to respective BOOT partition. Everything works almost fine.. However several skin and addon got disabled.. I'm unable to remove certain Add ons e.g. Movie Information".. I read somewhere that to upgrade to KODI you need to do clean install.. I like to do clean install via installer but installer does not work dualboot configuration.

Is this the correct way to upgrade? Do I need to update files/folder in STORAGE partition as well? I would like to keep customization I did to my AEON NOX skin and other keymaps for my remote preferences.

could you please help.

We recommend doing a clean install when upgrading between major versions.

Thanks. I will follow that instruction. However, I have done quite few customization to my AEON NOX skin. Would I be able to keep them? How do I be able to do that?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
