Iv'e just started using quartz on my apple tv 2 after using an older version on my atv1 for a while.

Is there a wat of stopping the favorites menu popping up when pressing the menu button on the home screen?

Yes, but not in skin. You have to edit remote key maps. Take a look at wiki, copy default mappings and delete the row that maps that button for home screen. It sounds more complicated than it is.

Got the update overnight, any chance to get the old icon view back for movies, the new one doesn't suit the width of the poster Sad

Ahh interesting, under movies the "icons" view is fine, but under video playlist, the same icons view is a wider version, with only 4 per row, not the usual 7. I will get the screenshot ASAP

No, sorry it would make it too specific (someone would jump in to ask for banners) and difficult to support.
