Im sorry you dismissed these comments from @akevit so fast. I have been hammering my head over the same issues.
I also, like @akevit would wish for a quick shortcut back to the Home screen.
When I watch an episode from the watchlist panel and finish, and want to see next episode after that, the same episode starts again.... I need to restart XBMC for the Watchlist Media Panel to update.
Same with movies I have just seen. They don't disappear from the Watchlist Media Panel untill I restart XBMC. Also, same with Currently Watching, needs to restart XBMC for it to update...
And this crash when opening the Context menu in the Home screen is very real, and I thought for a while that it was a feature to shutdown... But is it shutting down in a controlled manner?
Is it possible to have the library updating at fixed times and make sure it is not updating while I'm using the ATV2. And also to avoid the update running on startup? It is very resource demanding and screws up the user experience.
After a long period of inactivity the sound often disappears, and I have to restart XBMC. I have also normally turned off and on the receiver and the TV when this happens. The ATV2 is running normally all the time I expect... But as it most often happens, sound is gone when I turn it back on from inactivity.
Some of these bugs might be XBMC or script related I suspect.
I think the Quartz skin works very good except for a few bugs like these. It looks good and it is quick on my ATV2. Thank you!

Quote:Love the skin so far, have only begun to mess around with it. Quick observation though: if I set a playlist as a favorite then go to favorites and watch a movie from the playlist, I need to go back through a bunch of menus before I get to the home screen. Is there a way to have it go straight back to the home screen? I'm using an ATV2 so my remote functions are kind of limited.
Also, I tried enabling the Currently Watching in the media panel items and it doesn't seem to do anything, what does this do? I had a movie playing halfway through and I expected it to show up there but the Media Panel was empty; Recently Added works just fine.
Edit: Ok so Currently Watched only updates after I restart XBMC; if I start a movie and get halfway through then go to the home screen it doesn't show in the Media Panel. If I close XBMC then restart it shows up there -- I have a smart playlist called Recently Played Movies that selects all movies that have a lastplayed value of in the past week, it shows the movies live just fine. I also have one called In Progress Movies where inprogress is true, and this will also show the movie without needing to restart XBMC.
Also if I try to bring up a submenu context on an item such as Movies (from the home screen) XBMC crashes to front row, what's the recommended method for scanning for new content?
