Hey All,
Got my Nexus Player today and I'm happily impressed with it (considering I've been rocking a Sony NSZ GS7 box for Plex.) That said, I could use a little help with a slight issue.
I run Kodi on my office desktop and have two 1TB HDDS with content on them. At the moment I've got Kodi acting as a UPNP server and my Nexus sees it just fine and populates the content of the drives. However, none of the metadata populates and instead of creating a "movies" tab with genre, etc...(like on my PC) I can only browse through the movies via the Files tab.
All this said, my next plan is work on sharing the individuals folders on the drives, currently I have the whole drive shared. A sidenote, my pc is setup on a homegroup with a user name and password. I've read varying input on whether or not the homegroup matters or not....I really don't see how that could mess with the Nexus seeing shared content, but who knows.
Anyone had or having a similar situation?
