Monkeykicker Wrote:If like me you have a Plasma/LCD Tv then you'll no doubt be wanting to use the Xboxes HD output. But laying your hands on a component cable is nigh onimpossible M$ stop making them years ago, third party cables (still hard to get now the 360 out) have differing results. I just taken delivery of a "XCM Multi-Consoles Component Cable V3" & it's the dogs.
Hope this helps anybody else searching for one, just Google the text inside the quotes.
Yeah, i got the xcm v3 cable too, hd 1080i's working great on my tv, streaming dvd iso straight from xbmc. however, i guess i'll need to add a s/pdif and optical port to the xbox, cos it only provided a stereo white+red cable. it puzzles me though, cos they listed:
* Fully Compatible with Xbox 360™, Wii™, PS3™/PS2™, PSP™ Slim & Lite and Xbox™
* Built in switch prevents interference of other consoles
* High quality shielded cable
* Support Component Signal (Stereo Function)
* High Quality and High Speed for Transfer Signal
* Supports Dolby Prologic
* Supports DTS 5.1 Channel System
* Supports DOLBY Digital and Surround Sound
* Supports Stereo Sound
* Support Optical Signal on Xbox 360™
* Compatible with Surround Receiver or Integrated Amplifier
* Supports CRT, Plasma, LCD or any HDTV System
* Supports D2 (480i/480p); (720i/720p) & D4 (1080i/1080p) technology.
doesn't support for dts means that a digital output is meant to be included? or did they convert one of the white/red cable to a digital output?
