An excellent idea.

I don't think raspberry pi can do 3d blu Ray iso, which is the main bragging point of something like the vidon box. Indeed if you don't need 3d blu Ray iso, there are a lot of options available to you which sidestep the issues with android based boxes....
I got no idea, i don't have a 3D capable tv ... the only thing I noticed that isn't working is HD audio.
But luckily most audio files my receiver can play, just missing out on the TrueHD and DTS-HD mkv/iso's Smile
LG 77G1 • Onkyo TX-RZ70 • Q Acoustics F:2050i C:2000Ci R:2020i A:QI65C • 2x BK Elec XXLS400-DF
Vero V (OSMC) • Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019) • Sony UBP-X800M2 • Sony PlayStation 5

Well there is no HD audio issue with the VidOn box..
And i don't think you can compare Raspberry Pi with the VidOn box.

Yes you can - Comparison 1, does it work?

RPi YES
Vidon NO

Comparison 2: Do the authors of XBMC for the device comply with their obligations under the GPL2?

RPi YES
Vidon NO.

Are you taking about HD Audio in comparison 1?

And for the GPL2 , As user i dont tend to pay attention to those things since i am not a developer.
Just a user.

You are an idiot if you think the GPL is irrelevant just because you are a user not a developer.

In copmparison 1 I am talking about the device actually working as a media centre. About the GUI working in 1080p, about all the other bollocks suffered by vidon users and revealed by this thread.

I'd rather forsake HD audio and run a machine that otherwise works, theres your comparison.

Is not nice calling people an idiot....

Most user on this forum doesn't know anything about what goes behind the background.

1-GPL
2-Software licenses
3-And how all these thing works.

So for you come and start calling people names is very disrespectful..

I can care less if GUI is 720p and my movies plays in 1080p 29.978 and I have HD Audio.

I will add you into the closed tester group in our forum. Thank you for all of your tests and review.
I'm worrying that Vidon XBMC is dedicated for VidonBox or whole Vidon.me devices

I tested the first alpha and it cannot run on my AV200. And my friend who is closed tester said that the second alpha is still have same issue
Seem Vidon.me left the old devices (AV200 & AV100). I believe the answer is no, else that's bad business and no one believe on you that pay the money to buy your produce

Because the first official version is still in debugging stage, so all developers are working hard on this, after it's released, we will test its performance on AV200.
So i would like to ask, why "3D iso buffering" issue is more important (and is going to be fixed earlier) than A/V Sync issue which is far more important and is affecting all videos, not only 3D ones!? Generally speaking A/V sync issue makes VidOn Box unusable.
