add m4v-file to music library?
#1
Hi there

I just made a rip of my Dark Side of the Moon audio-dvd to get the music in 5.1 format. Mac DVD ripper produced a m4v file which will playback nicely in xbmc.

However - it is (obviously) not recognized as music and hence does not appear in my music library. It's also one big file instead of 10 tracks (but to me that's a minor problem as I would never play just one of the tracks anyway).

How can I either add it to the music library or convert it to a format an audio that xbmc will recognize as music and can playback as 5.1 audio? I would hate to have to pay for software for that single conversion so a free solution is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You can set XBMC to recognize this extension using advancedsettings.
