I still think the animation is going far too far. As a boot screen animation it's good, but for the start up of software it's an archaic idea. Kodi is optimised enough that it doesn't require a long time to start. Obviously that's from my tests on my own hardware, which includes a RPi, Atom and Turion. All three of those are low powered and slow and there's rarely a time where they take more than a second or two to start.

It's the same reason I disable the splash screen - that adds more loading time from clicking the button to being able to access my media.

I'm sure it will be possible to disable.

Please keep the thread without these negative comments, this thread is about creativity, not what every random user thinks.

It's constructive feedback from a user, whether positive or negative feedback should be essential. The animation is a good idea and it should be somewhere, and you mentioned an option to disable it, but I think it's too long. The other issue I see is with the audio. Some AVRs take a second or two to produce sound when starting up Kodi (or Windows may take time to initialize the audio drivers) - that will certainly cause half the animation to have no sound on both my Sony AVRs, or possibly sound jumping in half way.
