I'm having a hard time seeing how placing the submenu horizontally when selecting to use a vertical menu makes more sense...
Does anybody have any examples of this?
In my opinion the submenu should not cover items like widgets or protrude outside the menu background and all I am picturing is this:
| |
|-|-------
| |
Not that unintuitive in my using of it, onclick opens submenu if you have one and onback closes it. The way it opens can be changed to something else but you have to think of all options for instance onright would block navigation to widgets.
Design constraints All possible chosen options need to be accounted for.
If anybody wants to try it I believe the skin reFocus uses the same for its vertical menu.
