MySQL Empty library on reboot
#1
Hello,

I just set up a Mysql (mariaDB and phpmyadmin) server on my synology nas. All went well, i made the advancedsettings file, gave the rights in phpmyadmin and added the locations in XBMC. It scraped fine and all movies were in the library.

Now most of the time when i boot my xbmc device (intel nuc running openelec) the library is empty and it doesn't even scan for content (despite the fact that autoscan on boot is enabled). When i keep rebooting sometimes it scrapes and all the movies are in the library again.

Can someone help me with this? I don't know what the problem is...

Many thanks for advice!

The problem is most likely that XBMC starts before the network is up on your NUC. It can't access the mysql db so the library is empty.

Solution: openelec in openelec settings has a "wait for network" setting. Turn this on and allow 10 secs - although mine never uses the full 10 secs.
