how to do dlna with HDHomeRun & serverwmc(1175) & pvr.wmc(3.108)

There was an older thread that talked about enabling trick playing for when dlna devices are added as a video source. I think I recall the buffer change was suggested there too and if didn't work for them either.

Too bad, you'd think it would at least allow a long pause buffer
If I have been of help, please add to my reputation as a way of saying thanks, it's free.

Yeah, I agree. Sure seems like it should apply.

Data point on my wmc machine with kodi running changing to dlna stream took the channel tune time from 5-6 sec to 2-3 sec.

I just stumbled onto this option/function. As I continue to enjoy the direct DLNA stream, is there an option or tweak that if I was to pause a channel, that the server will automatically switch to wtv or .ts and allow for rewinding and/or fast forwarding?

I've chewing on the concept, but can't figure out if there is a trigger that could be set to gain that functionality.

Thoughts?

As it is Kodi accessing the Dlna stream, neither the pvr.wmc addon or ServerWMC Backend have any idea what the user is doing in terms of play pause etc

DLNA streams works great in Kodi v15. Maybe 2 seconds top to change channels now.
Thanks for the great tip!
