Yeah. The bluray is interlaced, although your post was written not for me.

Does disabling deinterlace avoid the seek problem?

I haven't the seek problem. I've got the black screen with one of files.

Thanks a lot, popcornmix, this indeed seems to fix stuttering and the video stopping several seconds before the end!

It would be great to have this fix in helix_rbp_backports, too - OpenELEC 5.0.7 and 5.0.8 are also suffering from heavy stuttering. A quick test with this commit applied to kodi helix on OpenELEC 5.0.8 seems to fix this. I posted some more details here:

so long,

Is the file interlaced? Did the previous work okay? Can you provide a sample?

Note: I did test your 2758_20150320160000.mpg file with this change. It did stall on some seeks/trickplay. But it also did for previous builds.
I have a fix for that problem pushed. If your problem is new to this build, then I don't think my fix will help.

I was trying with that test file, it was actually what we were watching yesterday after I updated to 0401. It is interlaced, but turning off deinterlacing doesn't make a difference with skipping. Since there are advertisements at the beginning, I try to skip 1 minute forward and at that point the video freezes and the audio continues for a few more seconds and then everything just stops. The playback overlay shows the audio/video being out of sync by 60+ seconds at that point.

This issue didn't seem to exist in 0331.

I haven't the seek problem. I've got the black screen with one of files.

I had the same black screen problem with #401 on 1 or 2 files but when I press "C" (Contextual menu ) the video become ok.

Thanks Milhouse and popcornmix! 0402 is working much better skipping forward and backward in my recorded TV content. Additionally, the lower bitrate SD channels like MeTV play back without stutter as well.

What a great early Easter present!
BTW, did you guys have any thoughts about the flickering channel logo in the video sample I uploaded the other day? It looks like maybe that video shouldn't be deinterlaced but it is when set to auto?

I can skip up to 30 seconds before I get bounced back to the recording menu. Is there a setting I am missing or need?

Live TV is quicker than previous versions but I am seeing audio drift in 720p. This appeared to be working in the previous build.

I turned off deinterlace video seeing if that would help with the seeking. It didn't help with that but the audio in 720p is staying in sync.
build #0402
Same problem

So do you offer this as a solution to the problem? In 0331 everything works as it should.
Didn't work, and I use remote control.
Problem with Polish Live TV

Hi

I have a problem playing some certain channels and recordings from polish tv providers (tv sat) when i change to specific channel i see only buffering 0% and nothing happens.

On different channels it is ok.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ex3on24a8kgp5...le.ts?dl=0
This is sample recording of one of this channels when i try to play it nothing happens, file plays well on Media player classic

This channels use "shared PMT" on transponder and kodi do not detect correct pids from file...

Could someone check it
Strange new issue with dvdplayer. Using the H264 samples at http://solidrun.maltegrosse.de/~fritsch/ like 1080i50_h264.ts playback doesn't show any video, only audio. It's like it doesn't get off of the video file selection screen. After enabling omxplayer the video plays back correctly.
