I have no explanation for why that error is occurring. Can you logon the netflix with a browser on that computer?
Good question! And it revealed my problem with an UnblockUs email confirmation page when trying to get to netflix.com. Oops! It's working now that I've fixed that, thanks!
So I recently moved the HTPC off of wifi onto ethernet, and totally forgot to check for adapter's DNS settings, which were the unblockus DNS servers from when I tested something a while ago. I always knew those nasty DNS hacks would come back to bite
