[SOLVED] Library location and SMB shares
#1
UPDATE: Whether this is the correct approach or not, this is what works for me. Since the external USB drive is automatically mounted anyway, I ended up editing the sources.xml file and changing the paths to point to the mount point for it (which was under /media/). And for the SMB shares, I edited /etc/samba/smb.conf and changed the paths there as well. After a system reboot and a library refresh, it's working the way I want it to.

Original message follows:

I have an external USB drive connected to my KODI system that I would like to use as storage for my libraries. Is there a way to configure KODI so it automatically uses that drive for the library paths so when importing a new movie or ripping a cd it knows to put the files there, as opposed to internal drive paths?

Subsequently, how do I share that USB drive over SMB so I can move new content to it from my network?
