Hi,

First, I'm new to XBMC and Linux. That's terrible for me since I bought a Linux box with XBMC frodo 12.2 pre installed...so I need help here.
Here is what I bought on ebay : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/351237346072
So I didn't like what was in the box, I decided to install kodi,
But since then, whenever it tried to update itself, sometime in the processus, it starts to freeze and I have to reboot the box...
Should I reinstall the OS, the XBMC version? If so can you guide me to a step by step guide for my box?

Other than that when I reboot it after a problem like that, there is no more automatic updates and I can use my box normally.

Yeah...unfortunately the thing you bought is blown up with all those banned and mostly illegal addons.

As far as I know only OpenElec does automatic updates. If you are talking about updates of those addons, then it must be said, that you won't get any support for them in here. They're illegal and might bring you issues as well. So the best thing would be to reinstall everything.

Seems this thing is linux based (a log file might tell more). Cliick on this -> Debug Log and follow the instructions for "logfile easy" and provide a log. It might be possible just to move the .kodi folder to do a factory reset. Then all those porn and illegal movie addons and repositories are gone and you might have a clean system.

For a complete installation of an OS on this thing, others might help more and better than me.

But if you want those addons and ask for support in here, then this is not the correct place for you. Ask the seller for support.

I'd like to reset that box "just like new", I don't wish to have porn add ons and such...
