If you remove all items from the sub menu it will be disabled.
Go to settings, skin settings, configure home menu tiles.
Select a menu item at the left and then press change sub menu. Remove all items.
Do this for all menu items you want to disable the sub menu for.

Hi Marcel,
I found two problems with that.
After deleting the movies submenu, when entering to the submenu again
I have no access to the right panel to add items again.
On some items like tv series, I can't delete all the submenu items, and it always leave on item <none> which I can't delete

Hmm, I can't reproduce that one. You can simply delete all items from the submenu and then go back to home.
After that you'll notice that the submenu is gone.
The <none> item always stays in the list, you can ignore that.
