Using that HP MCE RC6 IR-Receiver until Intel releases a new bios with IR fix - working fine with my harmony touch and NUC profile.

See this thread relating to pre-Broadwell NUCs - https://communities.intel.com/thread/41853?tstart=0
This is an 18 page thread spanning almost 2 years. Intel appears to have given up on the problem.
I may have miss stated the exact problem - " I have recently purchased an Intel NUC system (i3, dual HDMI) and while I love the form factor and design I am having issues using this as a HTPC. The system sets up flawlessly and I can use it to view and listen to whatever in a browser or via XBMC for streaming stuff from my NAS. However, when I turn off all my components and come back to the system later there are no Audio devices detected. "
No resolution was ever put up on that long thread, which leads me to assume that the problem with audio falling 'asleep' over HDMI still exists.

The NUC is connected via HDMI to an A / V receiver.
Set up in windows HDMI output as 5.1 and the test succeeds.
I set Kodi to passthrow 5.1 but does not sound
In addition, this tab settings for HDMI audio output:

compressed formats list is empty
It will issue the HDMI cable or mini-HDMI connector?
Any ideas?

I've just set up my own NUC with Windows 8.1 and would point out particularly:Thanks for that. I used the newer video graphics driver version 15.36.18.4156 which gave me all sorts of glitches, but after reading your post I installed the one from the bundle which is older 15.36.14.4080, which is much more stable. Fixed up some issues with audio and video; audio was low in volume, some files were completely unplayable, and the Kodi interface would sometimes just disapear.
- You must install the Intel graphics driver in order to get the correct Intel High Definition Audio driver.
I downloaded the driver bundle (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloa...ver-bundle) and installed everything in sequence. Note that the Intel installer for the graphics driver may say that you are installing an older driver. That is OK.
Hope that helps.

i would to buy a i3 5th nuc, but I have this question for you:
Can I set some BIOS feature in order to run the fan only when the CPU t emp goes over a certain degree? My goal is to obtain a semi-fanless system in a office, home, web, video scenario... it's possibile?
Thanks!
