As far as I know, that pop-up is only displayed when a source is no longer available. The clean function doesn't prompt when it removes a movie from an available source. So I guess you're both right. Smile

I believe the purpose of the popup is to let the user tell kodi if the media are permanently deleted, or just temporarily unavailable due to an unplugged USB drive, etc.

As just said, that only shows when the source is unavailable and not when a file has been removed.

Thanks for the replies. Perhaps updating to Helix has fixed a long standing problem with my system, or maybe there is something different about the way the XBMC Library Update addon calls for the clean. Who knows. Either way I know that it's normal not to get the prompt. Thanks again.
