Weird problem, installed kodibuntu on my pc and under network it shows not connected. thought it was a nic driver issue and tried to find a solution for 3 or 4 hours.
This is a hardwired connection. At work today tried thinking of causes when it came to me to try the hardwire from cable modem instead of hardwired to router ethernet port and worked like a charm. The router is a d-link dir-816, anyone have any idea what setting in my router is causing this issue?

No MAC filtering is turned off, just an update. Dug old dlink 625 out plugged in worked like a charm, gonna have to compare settings on both routers. Another bonus I tried for a week straight to get hdmi audio to work on windows never getting it to work. With kodibuntu worked like a charm.
