Hi Guys
I have an issue with an install of kodibuntu that I have just setup.
I am running Kodi 14.0 Git:ad747d9 (Compiled Dec 23 2014) which I have installed on a Dell Optiplex 790. I am using a display port adapter to HDMI which is then plugged into a Samsung TV. I then have an optical cable plugged directly into the TV and then into my surround sound. The audio is set to always pass through to the external speakers. I have tested this setup and it works fine with my other device (SKY TV).
The problem that I have is that no Audio is passing out whatsoever. I have used know good films and also radio, but it doesn't work.
I experienced this on a different box at work a few months back and I did fix it, but can not remember how.
I have ran:
sudo app-get update
sudo app-get upgrade
Everything appears to be upgraded, I think i installed a package and it then worked, but I forget precisely.
Here is the log file, there may be an error in there referring to the script failing for debug email. I did it via pastebin in the end.
http://paste.ubuntu.com/9762889/
I ran a video file (inbetweeners 2) as the test, no audio was played.
would anyone be able to have a look for me please and provide any suggestions
thanks
Dave
