Good question and I hope, somebody have an answer? But I think, this plugin doesn't use the video cache, because I cannot see something (video-content) cache-progress for this plugin. With the YouTube- or e.g. the ARTE-Plugin, I can see a cache-prozess.

Your landline is too slow, for the highest quality!
The highest quality is 1080p with 10 MB/s (12.500 kB/s = 100.000 Bit/s). Your landline has "only" 50MBit/s (6250 kB/s = 50.000 Bit/s). You can try e.g. the quality 720p with 6000 kB/s.
