Problem by recording and watching simultaneous
#1
Hey,

I get my Hama sat distributor yesterday and today I tried testing it.
I'm using a two-port DVB Cine S2 DVB-S2.

Before I get the Hama, I just wired the upper port. Everything works fine so war.
Now, I also wired the lower port.

Afterwards I went into TVHeadend WebGUI and enabled the lower port.
I switch to a TV channel, press record. Afterwards I switch to an other TV channel and I could watch TV. WOW! This is working out of the box I thought!
Switched to multiple channels to check if this is working with other channels to. YES, it's working.

Some time later, I switch to the same channel (recording before) and press again record. So far so good.
Then, I tried to switch to another tv channel and get the message "No input detected"

The syslog says the following:

Legend: (unten) is the lower port

I had a look into the TVHeadend WebGUI and saw, that sometimes under status SNR & signal strength show unknown.

Did I need to configure more options or wait until the adapter has did a full scan?

DVB Input config:

Both adapters have the same setting.
Network is:

I'm using TVHeadend v. 3.9

Thanks in advance for helping.

.. Started a record from sky hd..
Looked into TVHeadend Webgui.. so far just one adapter is actually in there.
Switched TV channel to an other channel. The second adapter comes into status with a signal (SNR + Signal strength..)
Then suddenly the second adapter drops out from status and TVHeadend says "No input detected".

This should be from when I switched tv channel:

Quote:Jan 18 21:02:18 xbmc tvheadend[1400]: capmt: CA Client 1: Starting CAPMT server for service "RTL HD" on adapter 0 seq 0x001a
Jan 18 21:02:18 xbmc tvheadend[1400]: subscription: 00AB: "127.0.0.1 [ alex | XBMC Media Center ]" subscribing on "RTL HD", weight: 150, adapter: "STV090x Multistandard : DVB-S #0 (unten)", network: "19.2E Astra", mux: "10832.25H", provider: "CBC", service: "RTL HD", hostname="127.0.0.1", username="alex", client="XBMC Media Center"

And this when the adapter drops out from status:
Quote:Jan 18 21:02:30 xbmc tvheadend[1400]: capmt: CA Client 1: Removing CAPMT Server from service "RTL HD" on adapter 0
Jan 18 21:02:34 xbmc tvheadend[1400]: subscription: 00AB: No input source available for subscription "127.0.0.1 [ alex | XBMC Media Center ]" to channel "RTL HD"

I'm using Oscam if this is relevant.

Look at the status tab when you get "no input source available" and make sure you're really using only one of the tuners.

I'm definitely just use one of the tuners.
What I do is the following:

Turn on the HTPC, switch to Live-TV and choose a channel.
Then I click record on my remote and TVHeadend starts recording the actual program.
Then I switch to an other TV channel to check if I could now watch an other channel.
By doing this, the Error in #2 occurs

does it do it on unencrypted channels?

Looks I could figure out the problem.
I just have one SAT connection in my room, therefore I bought the SAT distributor.
When recording a channel, I can only watch a few channels.
Did I decide to watch an other channel, I could on the other hand watch other channels.

It's to bad that TVHeadend did no show channels, I can actually watch.
My Dreambox has this feature.
