ARS spits out another one of those HD reliability tests, looks like Seagate is still the loser. 3TB Barracuda 7200.14 units, which had a 43.1 percent failure rate, in spite of an average age of just 2.2 years.

And it draws the wrong conclusion. If you go out and buy a new HGST drive you're going to get a rebadged WD drive. You need to buy a Toshiba drive if you want the the drives that fared so well in their use.
