Is there any chance of a UEFI build with Kodi v16.1 stable ?

Kodi 16 on that hardware sucks ... it won't be able to play 50p / 60p content. Furthermore colors will be broken.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Ok, I have 3 other devices running Kodi 16, sharing databases etc, I'll have tp upgrade them all soon enough.

In the mean time I figured out out to downgrade the UEFI one to version 16.

Hi piotrasd,
thanks for your work on this.
I used your build and also the .tar for update. My Pipo X8 worked so far.

I tried to update to latest LE with the .tar from the official download site. After the update LE does not boot. It prints the following error:
Code:
*** Error in mount_flash: mount_common: Could not mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 ***

Can you give me a direction to solve the problem?

In short, my question is: Are you planning to keep this release updated with the new builds?

Longer version: I have a Lenovo ideacentre Stick 300. The hardware itself fully 64 bit capable, but for some reason I don't understand, Lenovo decided to allow 32 bit UEFI only, but does not communicate this fact - at least I can't find this info anywhere in the specs.

For my biggest piece of luck, I have found your build which is working like a charm and I can't be grateful enough for you, you saved me 100 bucks. Thank you so much!
So I use it every day since I have discovered and installed it, but I was wondering if you planning to keep this build updated or not.

Thank you!

You can keep updating it without problem. I believe it should keep working.
Or you can do this: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/6602-3...#post48138

Thank you Soli for your help!
You mean updating it with the LibreElec's updater service? Unfortunatelly it is downloading the actual Kodi distribution (LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.2-devel.img), decompressing it, then fails to boot with the:

*** Error in mount_flash: mount_common: could not mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 ***
### starting debugging shell... type exit to quit ###
sh: can't access tty. job control turned off.
#

message. Well, I am a linux noob, but I guess this is because of some sort of syntax error, but definetelly beyond my knowledge to fix it. It is strange, because LE is running from my Lenovo stick's internal storage, no SD card inserted.

Then just use the method in the link. I believe it should survive future updates as well, but I haven't tried it tbh.
