ASUSTOR AS-202TE Kodi 12.3 Audio crashes
#1
I just bought a new ASUSTOR AS-202TE, that has the latest FW from Asustor (ADM 2.3.1.R1K7)
with Frodo 12.3.

Trouble is, that when playing some ie AVI files, audio disapears from the whole unit. So it plays the
video without any sound and only way to get audio back is shutdown (power off) and restart. Reboot
does not fix the trouble.

And after this happens, all audio is dead, from XBMC music, SoundsGood, system sounds etc...
For me it looks like media player with some bug in codec handling will cause audio driver and
audio chip to crash.

Any idea how I could trace what is the trouble? Anything I could do in command line?
Any log files I should to seek?

Is this known issue, so that it would be fixed in newer versions? Finally, is this more like
matter of XBMC or Asustor?

All help is wellcome.

I think since v12 a ton of the audio stuff was pretty much re-done. Assuming ASUSTOR updates to v13 or v14 in the near future, you'll probably be fine with an update.
