Video and audio cuts out randomly
#1
My media center has been working great until today. I haven't touched anything. While watching movies or TV, the audio and video will drop. The screen goes black and the sound cuts out. It then resumes after about 2 seconds. It will play normally for around 4-5mins, then does it again. This repeats forever.

Setup:
Core i3 CPU
SSD hard drive
4gigs RAM
Nvidia 610 graphics card.
OS - Kodibuntu 14.1

Media is streamed from my server over gigabit ethernet. media center connects to receiver over HDMI for audio and video. Receiver connects to TV over HDMI.

I have tried different videos in different formats. Tried rebooting the media center. Tried turning off the receiver and tv. Nothing seems to make a difference. Not sure why this has suddenly started.

I thought of that too. I will have to pickup a couple of spare ones to test.

Well, I switched the HDMI cable and it didn't make any difference.

Just to check, you have 2 HDMI cables, were both replaced?

I am seeing the same thing out of the blue as well with some files and not others but nothing on my end changed. I've gone through the various kernel releases but nothing seems to help and it didn't start after a kernel release.

My experience is that during the beginning of a playback it will drop out video/audio for a few seconds and then pick backup and continue with no further issues. I have two systems with identical HTPCs but the surrounding A/V gear is different and BOTH experience this random problem.

I've attached my logs for more information to assist or see if it is the same issue.
